Easton Arts Trail 2011

Over the weekend i had a stall in St Anne's Church as part of Easton Arts Trail. It was a nice laid back atmosphere with some really nice people and good coffee and lots of cake! This was my stall -

Also bought a lovely little vintage display cabinet from the 50's for the exhibition at Room 212.

This week im working on getting everything finished, cards, lanterns and plan for the shop layout.

Paper Scissors Stone and Lace Papercut

Went to the talk at Hamilton House yesterday about plans for the relaunch of the shop by 'Paper Scissors Stone' group. From what i heard of it (before a certain 1 and a half year old started screaming) it sounds like a really good art community idea, which gets the artists working in the shop whilst getting artwork on sale!

Latest work, not sure what it is yet -

Also went to have a little peek in Room 212, to get an idea of the space and on the way saw many amazing shops towards the top of Gloucester Road. One of them was this place-
The people who run it, make things whilst they man the shop and the best part is its actually cheap!

BBC Bristol Interview

So today i went down to The Trinity Centre to try and get some airtime with BBC Bristol Radio to plug The Easton Arts Trail.

You can hear the brief interview here at the very end around 1:50:00 and ends with my son screaming!

BBC Bristol Afternon Show

Also Patrick Winch is the organiser not me!

Harbourside Market

The Harbourside Market yesterday was an awesome laugh! I think its a really good market in terms of foot fall especially with 'We The People' fest going on round the corner.
There were some very friendly stall holders next to me and some very enthusiastic No.1 Harbourside employees selling burgers. And we were all face painted up by the end of it, thanks to the resident face painter lady!

Now to getting on with publicity for Room 212.

Solo Show @ Room 212 and Harbourside Market

So the past few days have been pretty exciting!
Ive managed to get myself a week at 'Room 212' Art Gallery on Gloucester Road for June 26th - July 3rd. Its a great intimate space -

'People who participate in room212 finance it with their contribution. Room212 is experimental, and it will only continue if the owner of the space does not lose money; he is responsible to pay the business rates and building insurance. Room212 is only viable if there are enough people who are interested in using room212.'

So if you are looking for somewhere to exhibit your work, use Room 212 and keep it in business! Its a great opportunity!

On another note i have confirmed my pitch at the Harbourside Market this Saturday so if you're in the area, come down! The Waterfront will be lovely if the weather keeps up!

Got my printer/scanner hooked up properly now (still playing around with it) so heres a new series of cards
