I got confirmation today that i have a stall in the St Nichs Art Market on Sunday 3rd April, so if anyone is around, pop down and see me!

Working Hard for Made in Bristol

So as promised i have been putting in the hours to produce a good amount of stock for my upcoming markets. Ive made a few paper cuts, 'And there I was' (pictured below) was inspired by my travels, and is not yet finished!

RWA, Paintworks Spring Art Market and St Nichs Art Market

At the weekend i went to the Open Photography Exhibtion at the RWA, which was really nice to see such a vast collection of different photography styles! I also went to the Spring Art Market at the PaintWorks on Bath Road which was good for inspiration and made me want to take part in another market! I also bumped into an old school friend who was running his own stall, so was nice to have a chat about his work and how he's getting on.  Also met creative being Clare Pirie (www.clarepirie.com) who is looking for more artists to get involved with!

I was wondering when the next Made In Bristol Gift Fair would be at Colston Hall and i found out it will be 16th and 17th April. So sent an email, i hope they still have spaces!

So on the other hand i have applied for a stall at the next Art Market in Saint Nicholas Market (1st Sunday of every month) and therefore started gathering bits together and producing as many of my ideas as possible!

Will hopefully be blogging more due to the vast amount of work i intend to produce in the next few weeks!

Art and Power @ The Parlour

The Art and Power Artists are inviting women to bring artwork to be part of an exhibition to celebrate International Women's Day. The exhibition is on right now at The Parlour on Park Street, which is the home on Stand and Stare Collective and ends on Saturday at 6pm.

I took in this recent piece, which is now mounted and framed!

This week ive been working on more pieces for the Dutch Auction at PRSC, sorting through work for Papergirl (this is a great idea where artwork is donated and exhibited and then it is handed out in tubes by people on bikes, a great community based idea) and i also posted a message on gumtree for an artist mum's meeting group, i think ill make flyers too!

So first of all thank you to everyone who bought valentines cards! I hope you had lovely days with your loved ones!

I was sent an email by Utopic Studios who have put together a great website allowing artists to exhibit and sell their artwork online for free.

I am in the process of putting mine together at the moment, where some brand new work will be shown. Im hoping it will be finished by the end of the week!

First of all Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

I very nicely returned from Christmas to find i had sold 4 out of the 5 pieces taken to the auction, which was a good belated christmas present. One of them was a framed print of 'A Modern Curiosity' 2010 -

So i officially started Linda Bennett Illustration a year ago and sometimes i feel like i am still in the same position as i was when i started.
